License terms
These license terms are part of the terms of service. They say what you may do with AI Shuffle and how licensing works.
Effective September 23, 2026
1. What a license covers
An AI Shuffle license is personal to one account. While it is active, it lets you install and run AI Shuffle on up to 3 workers at a time. A worker is one running installation of AI Shuffle: a Docker container, an Unraid app or a desktop app. The Android app on your own phones is included. The license is non-exclusive and non-transferable.
2. Free trial
Every new account gets one 14-day trial with every feature. When the trial ends, the app needs a paid license to start new agent runs. If you gave a payment method when you started the trial, your first charge is made when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
3. Refund on your first charge
If AI Shuffle isn’t for you, email support@hobbycoders.com within 7 days of your first charge and we will refund that charge in full. The license ends when we refund it. Details are in the refund policy.
4. Where we sell
At launch, AI Shuffle licenses are not sold to buyers in the European Union or the United Kingdom. Checkout does not accept purchases from those places. We plan to add them later.
5. License checks
Each worker checks its license with our license service about once a day. Activating a worker sends the license key, a random install ID, a fingerprint made from that ID and the machine ID, the host name and the app version; the daily check sends the install ID, its token, the fingerprint and the app version. It never sends prompts, files, or anything about your AI providers. A successful check lets the worker run offline for up to 14 days, so an outage on our side or yours doesn’t stop you.
If a license lapses, the app stops starting new agent runs. It never deletes, locks or hides your projects, sessions or database, and you can export them at any time.
6. What you may not do
- Share your license key, or use one license for more than 3 workers at a time.
- Sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute AI Shuffle, or offer it as a hosted service to other people.
- Remove, disable or get around license checks.
- Reverse engineer AI Shuffle, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
7. Updates
An active license includes new versions of AI Shuffle. If your license ends, the version you have keeps your data readable, but it won’t start new agent runs.
8. Ownership and third-party software
HobbyCoders owns AI Shuffle. AI Shuffle includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed in the third-party notices that ship with the app. Claude Code and other AI tools that AI Shuffle starts are not part of AI Shuffle; they are licensed to you by their makers.
